In reply to Sofia. Hey Sofia! Yes, it felt very safe and relaxed. I was 100% comfortable traveling solo and my sense was that it's safe for solo women too (I met several and they all loved Cape Verde). I wrote a bit more about these topics in this FAQ. Even though it's near West Africa, in terms of safety levels or hassle it's much more similar to Europe. I think if you can do 9 days (a week plus the weekend) it's a perfect time to see 2 or 3 islands. :)
